People start yoga for many reasons. They may want to increase the level of health, fitness, and flexibility. Or improve their muscle tone. Reducing stress and anxiety, also figured prominently in the list, as personal development, and the desire to follow a more spiritual path. Some may have particular health condition or health problem they want solved.

The first reason for starting yoga can affect both types of yoga, which makes the ‘best fit’, as well as individual teachers have chosen in the yoga discipline. Although various types of yoga, apparently satisfied with some goals better than others, teacher practice, you will also make a difference obtaining what you want with yoga.

Foe example, if you have concrete medical conditions, it would be better for informal interview prospective teachers of yoga in advance. First, to determine which classes could be used, and to see whether the teacher has a real understanding of what conditions or problems those mean for the practice of yoga. Some people, whether it is yoga teachers or not, have a tougher Outlook, and can not understand that a flexible approach in such cases is very important. Or, they may not have sufficient training or experience. Perhaps they are even too busy to be available in a more personal way.

When choosing a teacher of yoga, it is important to use your intuition. And to understand that we, as individuals, can not find our needs met by the class, even if others do. Some teachers have more education than others, some of them more emphasis on spiritual aspects of yoga (which may or may not agree with our own spiritual outlook). Some adjustments do – what, where teachers will use their weight to help you go further in this situation – without really determine whether a person has no injuries. The student in this case may feel that “teacher knows better”. But it is tall to listen to your body, and understand that not all yoga can like. And, not all teachers are equal in all areas, whether it is.

A number of other things to consider when choosing a teacher of yoga are:

* Are they dogmatic? Whether they are pushing some of the philosophical or spiritual point of view? There are subtle (or not so subtle) manipulation implies that without their “guru”, your spiritual development is in shaky condition. In fact, they assume that you need a guru (guru) as “leadership” in matters spiritual because your own connection to the Source-God, not good enough. In other words, they suggest that you place the power outside himself or they reiterate that you really are your own leadership, and can get them completely under your own steam.

* Are they (or appreciable members of his yoga discipline) too worried with money, fame, power, size of their organization, or the degree of their influence? If they (the org.) certify yoga teachers, how long the teachers have to prepare? What are they trained and what they do not teach?

* How well did teachers body forth the basic spiritual qualities of mercy, goodness, joy and peace? While we are all creatures at different stages of travel, it helps to look at the nature of the teacher, and ethics. No one should be perfect, but that quality in them, their involvement in the class.
